Data Protection Warnings
DATA PROTECTION MEANS, TO PROTECT PERSONAL RIGHTS.

A data protection warning is basically due to the violation of personal rights of the users of your website. In order to comply with the legal data protection requirements as a provider of telemedia services, online merchants are obliged to inform users about the extent and purpose of the collection and use of personal data.
Frequent reasons for a warning in data protection
E-mail advertising (newsletter dispatch):
A data protection warning can be issued in particular if the regulations for sending e-mail advertising (newsletters) are not observed. For example, if the retailer does not have permission to send electronic advertising, a high fine can be imposed in addition to a warning!
Use of tracking tools (e.g. Google Analytics):
The use of the usual tracking tools (e.g. Google Analytics) can also be cause for a warning if there is missing or incomplete instructions in the data protection declaration. As the current study "Shop Data Protection Monitor 2014" shows, about 2 out of 5 of the tested online shops violate data protection regulations when using web controlling tools.
